Got this mental book a while back and just put it on a shelf and forgot about it until now. It's a massive collection of art, fashion and design all related to the human form, definitely worth checking it out in your art library! Published by Gestalten.

made a zine

Made this zine a few weeks ago putting together some of the best stuff i did in my first four weeks of college. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out as I'm usually rubbish with layout and composition so it was good practice. Got some really nice paper stock and when you touch it the ink just kind of rubs off onto your hand which is something i didn't foresee, but its given it this really nice instantly old feel.

stuff

Been having a pretty rubbish time lately been too ill to do any proper work for ages and it's making me stressed. Was much cheered up yesterday though by the ~Mantelpiece~ exhibition put on as part of Stuff Bath design festival! There was so much weird and interesting stuff but these cardboard dogs really stood out for me, I want to make a greyhound for myself!

Also one of my favourite artists Marcus Oakley had his mantlepiece here, so amazing! gotta try some stuff like this too! Very inspired.. and tired.

bath balloons

I think the season has come to an end now so these are the last balloons i'll see for a long while, until the weather gets fine again.

Walls notebook? Fuck yeah! Bought this for my buddy Lauren Squires as a birthday gift, as it's customary to write on the first page i thought for this i'd do some drawings. Totally want one for myself!

Had this lovely idea few months ago while talking to buddy Lauren Squires but i only got round to actually posting her a slice of toast last week and... she got it! yeyyy!!

illustration experiments

On monday we had illustration class of ~drawing with scissors~ was a bit tricky at first but got some really nice results. For my self portrait i did the two big heads and my name.

Made this giant pair of ladyboy legs with buddy Rosie, mine is the fat leg.

On tuesday we had drawing club at the Victoria art gallery, there was loads of great stuff there. I decided to focus on just dogs and it worked pretty well, i love the first picture! We have a free graphics only photocopier in the studio and i have become a little obsessed with it, literally every time i do a drawing i want to see what it looks like in negative!

summer project

Did this project about a month ago now, was meant to introduce myself using only one sheet of A4 paper. Saw some of my cousin's work this summer which involved cutout sardine tins and shadow puppets so I wanted to try out something similar. This was my first attempt. Little cub scout buddy being chased through the woods by a bear. Brilliant.

In the end I couldn't get the shadow play right that I wanted so I made another little self standing one. Doesn't photograph very well but it's so cute!

BATH

So far, so good. If only i could party a little less and study a bit more.. put this on my window to remind me!
